Ghana and Bristol City forward Antoine Semenyo eyes double figures in Championship

Ghana and Bristol City forward Antoine Semenyo says his target in the ongoing English Championship campaign is to get double figures.

The 22-year-old has been explosive for Bristol City in the Championship, scoring 6 goals and providing 8 assists in the process.

In January, he was adjudged as the Championship Player of the Month after bagging three goals and three assists in the month.

Semenyo, who dreams of playing in the Premier League has targeted double figures at the end of the campaign.

“It [playing in the Premier League] has always been a dream of mine from when I was young. But whether it comes now or in a few years, I’m not in any kind of a rush. I just want to keep working on my game so that if I do ever get to the top then hopefully there’ll be no problems,” Semenyo told Sky Sports.

“I think it’s going really well now, but there’s always room for improvement, and there are small things I can always make better.

“I’ll enjoy this success a little, but I won’t get too big headed! I’ll be keeping my head down to make sure I still get the job done.

“I’ve given myself a little objective to get to double figures this season. With the amount of games we have I’m hoping I can achieve that.”

Semenyo is yet to play for the Black Stars but reports in the local media says he has agreed to switch nationality to don the Ghana jersey ahead of the Nigeria clash next month.
