Ghana capable of beating Nigeria to seal FIFA WC qualification – Prosper Harrison Addo
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has called on Ghanaians to support the Black Stars to ensure the team secures qualification to the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
After a disastrous performance at the 2021 TotalEnergies of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament, the citizenry is not confident in the chances of Ghana beating Nigeria to qualify for this year’s world cup.
Speaking to Light FM today, Prosper Harrison Addo who is general secretary of the Ghana FA has called for support for the team.
“This is not the time to shift blames on the GFA but with focus and unity Ghana can beat Nigeria because world cup brings a lot of benefits so Ghana should do all things possible and qualify,” the GFA scribe shared.
Mr. Addo continued, “It’s high time Ghanaians show support and motivate the players because with the love of Ghanaians the players can die for the nation.”
Ghana faces Nigeria in a two-legged tie in March to fight for one of the five African slots allocated by FIFA for the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament.
