Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac hints of inviting local players for Ethiopia, South Africa matches
The head coach of the Ghana national team, Milovan Rajevac has hinted that there will be opportunities for local players in November when he invites players for the games against Ethiopia and South Africa.
Nicknamed the Black Stars, the national team of the West African country will next month play its final two matches in the qualifiers to the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament.
With impressive wins in the October international break, Ghana head coach Milovan Rajevac is keen on presenting a strong squad for the upcoming matches to ensure his team bags the needed six points.
Speaking to the media team of the Ghana FA, the Serbian tactician says not only will he be looking at foreign players but there will be chances for players in the local league as well.
“If you look at my previous spell here, you’ll know it is important every department of the team is strong as possible so for the next period, we are monitoring every Ghanaian home and abroad and the league will start soon so definitely there will be some talents from here and players abroad trying to prove themselves so it is a chance for everybody to prove themselves and if they get to come play for Ghana, they have to prove it.
“This is a process you’re trying to establish the team who can be competitive at the highest level and can play against any team in the world,” the coach shared.
Ghana must win both matches next month to guarantee progression to the final playoff round of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
