Ghana defender Alexander Djiku excited after double win over Zimbabwe in WC qualifiers
Ghana defender, Alexander Djiku has expressed his excitement after helping the national team to complete a crucial double over Zimbabwe in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The Racing Strasbourg centre-back was in action for the Black Stars last Friday when the national team of the West African country thumped the Warriors 3-1 in Cape Coast.
In the second match of the doubleheader on Tuesday afternoon, Djiku played for Ghana again in defense and helped the side to beat the opponent 1-0 at the end of the contest.
Taking to his Twitter page to react to the two wins, Alexander Djiku says “Ghana is the reason to be happy.”
He added, “Proud of the team and thank you to our fans for the strength.”
Unfortunately, Alexander Djiku will miss Ghana’s next match in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Ethiopia in the next international break due to suspension.
