Ghana defender Mohammed Salisu feels proud playing in the Premier League

Ghana and Southampton defender Mohammed Salisu feels elated playing in the English Premier League.

The 21-year-old secured a move to the Premier League club in 2020 from Real Valladolid in a deal worth 10 million pounds.

Despite enduring a difficult start last season, he has become an integral member of the Southampton squad in the 2021/22 season.

In an interview, Salisu who recently disclosed he is not ready to play for the Black Stars said he feels proud of what he has achieved in his career.

The towering guardsman revealed that he had to skip classes to play football, a decision that did not down with his mother especially.

“This is a dream come true – playing in the sand without boots and ending up here in the Premier League, I am very proud of what I have achieved in my life,” he added.

Salisu has made 9 appearances for the Saints in the ongoing Premier League season.
