Ghana Football on the right path- GFA President Kurt Okraku
Ghana Football is on the right path towards restoring its tainted image and lost glory, President of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt E. S. Okraku has indicated.
The intelligent and well respected football administrator was elected into office as GFA boss in 2019 following a keenly contested election. Kurt Okraku who campaigned on the premise of changing the game now has the challenging task of returning Ghana Football – a brand fraught corruption and integrity denting issues- to the apex of the continental and global football platforms.
In analyzing how he’s fared so far, Kurt Okraku told FootballMadeinGhana.com in an exclusive interview that “We’ve steadily moved away from the period where we had to look back. We are in a situation where we’re very positive about the future.
“We are steadily steadying the ship and putting in the Right policies, the right personnel to ensure that we bring the industry to the level that we all desire. It’s very true that our industry was challenged because of the period of the Anas Expose and the Normalization, ” he conceded.
On the score of where Ghana Football was to where it is now, Kurt Okraku is convinced the transformational process is well on track.
“I knew from Day one that we’re taking over Ghana Football at a time that it was most challenged for which reason it wasn’t going to be an easy road into bringing back the sport.
“But I have always been determined to steady the ship, to lay down the good foundation and to ensure that not only our national teams become very competitive, but also our domestic leagues become very very interesting.
“And indeed I think that on the score of what has happened in the last year and half, we’re in the right way,” he concluded.
