Ghana forward Richmond Antwi delighted after playing first match for Phoenix Rising FC

Ghanaian attacker, Richmond Antwi has shared his excitement after playing his first match for Phoenix Rising FC.

The talented forward has joined the USL giants and will have a big role to play for the team during the 2022 football season.

On Saturday night, the player was a second-half substitute for Phoenix Rising FC when the team engaged MLS outfit Sporting Kansas City in a friendly match at the Wild Horse Pass.

Having made a bright start to life with the USL club, Richmond Antwi subsequently took to his Twitter page to express his excitement.

“Extremely happy to wear this iconic shirt for the very first time and get some playing time in our 2-1 win,” the Ghanaian youngster Tweeted while adding, “Proud of my mates, Santi Moar and Arturo Rodriguez  for the well-taken goals.”

On the matchday, Kansas City FC took the lead through a strike from Daniel Salloi in the 12th minute.

However, courtesy of goals from Santi Moar and Arturo Rodriguez, the USL outfit came from behind to seal the victory.
