Ghana need a vibrant and a competeive league – President Akufo Addo
His Excellency, President Akufo Addo has insisted that Ghana will have a vibrant national team when the local league is competitive and vibrant.
Akufo Addo made this known when the organizers of the President Cup visited him at the Jubilee House on Thursday evening.
Speaking at the Jubilee House, he urged various stakeholders to contribute to make the league vibrant.
“From the statement the chairperson made, the need to have a strong vibrant league. It’s the strong vibrant league that will enable us to have a strong vibrant national side,” he said.
“All of us need to put our hands together to see the way forward on how we can strengthen our domestic league,” he stressed.
Meanwhile, Hearts of Oak will play Asante Kotoko in the 2022 President’s Cup at the Accra Sports Stadium tonight to honour the President.
The much-anticipated game has been scheduled to kick off at 18:00GMT.
