Ghana submitting final 28-man squad for 2021 AFCON to CAF by close of today
Ghana head coach Milovan Rajevac is set to submit the final 28-man squad for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) to the Ghana Football Association (GFA) today.
Subsequently, the Ghana FA will submit the squad to CAF with less than 10 days for the continental showdown to commence.
Coach Milovan Rajevac last week announced a 30-man squad to pitch camp in Doha, Qatar to prepare for the 2021 AFCON.
Unfortunately, due to injury, Mohammed Kudus is a doubt for the AFCON. In addition, AS Roma wonder kid Felix Afena-Gyan is unlikely to join the Black Stars for the AFCON as well.
With 28 players out of the 30-man provisional squad available, they are set to represent Ghana at next month’s AFCON.
Meanwhile, the Black Stars have continued training in Qatar today with more players joining the team in Camp in Doha.
Training is expected to intensify next week with the team scheduled to travel to Cameroon on January 7, 2022.
