Ghana vs Nigeria: Black Stars set to name eight debutants for 2022 World Cup playoff
The Black Stars technical team led by coach Otto Addo is set to name eight debutants for the crucial World Cup playoff against the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
According to reports in the local media Antoine Elorm Semenyo, Leeroy Owusu, Felix Afena-Gyan, Elisha Owusu and other players who have been scouted by Otto Addo and his team will receive call ups.
AS Roma youngster Felix Afena-Gyan has turned down two earlier call ups for footballing reasons.
Otto Addo took charge of the senior national team the Black Stars after Serbian trainer Milovan Rajevac was sacked after Ghana’s terrible performance at the 33rd Africa Cup of Nations.
Ghana left the tournament with one point in Group C and was embarrassed by Comoros Islands.
Ghana will take on Nigeria on March 25th at the Cape Coast Stadium and clash again on March 29th.
