Ghanaian champions Hearts of Oak arrive in Casablanca for ‘do or die’ affair against Wydad
Ghana Premier League giants, Hearts of Oak have arrived in Casablanca, Morocco to prepare for the crunch meeting with Wydad AC in the CAF Champions League this weekend.
As champions of the 2020/2021 Ghanaian top-flight league, the team based in Accra are representing the West African country in the preliminary stage of CAF’s elite inter-club competition.
Last Sunday, Hearts of Oak had the chance to host the first leg encounter of the game and dominated play as the team cruised to an important 1-0 win at the end of an exciting contest at the Accra Sports Stadium.
With one more leg to go to guarantee a place in the Group Stage of the CAF Champions League, Hearts of Oak have today touched down in Casablanca to honour the match this weekend.
The game will be played on Sunday, October 24, 2021. The Phobians need to avoid defeat to eliminate Wydad AC from the CAF Champions League.
