Ghanaian defender Gideon Jung set to recover in time for Greuther Fürth’s game against Cologne
German-defender of Ghanaian descent, Gideon Jung is set to recover in time for SpVgg Greuther Fürth’s clash against Cologne in the German Bundesliga next weekend.
Over the past weekend, the player missed his team’s encounter against giants Bayern Munich.
This was after he had picked up a knee problem during preparations for the big match.
This week, the 27-year-old is returning to training and should be ready to play on Saturday, February 26, 2022, when his team returns to action in the German Bundesliga.
“It’s the case with Gideon that he trained with the team again in isolated and technical processes. I just hope that he can now get over this mountain and soon be able to start training fully,” Stefan Leitl said in an interview with the press.
The former Hamburg SV man is according to sources already feeling good and is gradually nearing full fitness.
