Ghanaian defender Jan Gyamerah ruled out for several weeks due to injury
German-born Ghanaian defender, Jan Gyamerah has been ruled out for several weeks after suffering an injury in Hamburg’s friendly against Danish side FC Midjtylland.
The 26-year-old suffered a torn muscle fiber in the adductor attachment of his left leg last Friday after MRI examination when his outfit succumbed to a 5-1 defeat.
The dependable defender is expected to sit out for about six to eight weeks.
Gyamerah’s contract with the club expires in June, and with his injury troubles, it is unlikely if the deal will be extended.
