Ghanaian defender Jan Gyamerah scores for the first time in five years
Ghanaian defender, Jan Gyamerah scored for the first time in five years last weekend when he equalized to help Hamburg SV to defeat Eintracht Braunschweig.
The full-back before last Sunday had gone several years without finding the back of the net in any game.
The last time he was on the scoresheet was on September 30, 2016, when he scored for Bochum in a 4-2 win against Aue.
Featuring for Hamburg SV last Sunday in the first game of the 2021/2022 DFB Pokal competition, Jan Gyamerah had a superb game and emerged as one of the top performers.
On the match, he scored with a fine effort in the 29th minute to open the scoring for his side.
Although Eintracht Braunschweig scored through Luc Ihorst to restore parity, Robert Glatzel netted the winning goal to ensure Hamburg SV sailed through to the next stage of the cup competition.
