Ghanaian defender Michael Akoto reveals close ties with Argentine Giuliano Modica
Dynamo Dresden defender Michael Akoto has revealed his close relationship with Argentine player Giuliano Modica.
The pair shared the same dressing room at German third-tier side Wehen Wiesbaden.
According to Akoto, he has a very special relationship with former Dynamo Dresden player Giuliano Modica, revealing the Argentine urged him to sign for the Bundesliga II club.
“The ‘Mokki’ is like a big brother to me, has always helped me a lot on and off the pitch. To this day, we write to each other every day,” says Akoto.
“When I told him that there were talks with Dynamo Dresden, he said to me: ‘Boy, if you have the opportunity to go to this club, you have to do it right away.’ He only told me positive things about Dynamo – and all of it is true” he said.
Akoto signed a two years contract with Dresden on July 1.
