Ghanaian defender Jan Gyamerah was on target as his side Hamburg beat Eintracht Braunschweig in the German Cup last Sunday.
Hamburg inflicted a 2-1 win over their opponent to progress to the next stage of the competition.
The enterprising full-back opened the scoring for his side in the 29th minute as they pick victory in the first-round clash at away.
Braunschweig restored parity before the halftime break through Luc Ihorst in the 44th minute.
But a 68th minute strike from Robert Glatzel sealed the victory for Hamburg at the expense of their opponent.
