Ghanaian striker Dauda Mohammed nets twice in FC Cartagena defeat to Real Valladolid

Former Asante Kotoko striker, Dauda Mohammed scored a brace in FC Cartagena home defeat to Real Valladolid in the Spanish La Liga 2 on Friday evening.

Valladolid emerged as winners with a 3-2 over FC Cartagena in their match-week 28 fixture at the Estadio Municipal Cartagonova.

Dauda levelled the score for the Black and White lads with a brilliant strike on the 3rd minute after visitors had opened the score on the 1st minute through Toni Villa.

Real Valladolid ended the first half with a 2-1 lead following Shon Weissman’s goal on the 33rd minute of the game.

Dauda registered his second goal of the day to make it 2-2 on the 74th minute.

Moroccan international Anuar Mohamed Tuhami scored a heartbreaking match-winner for Real Valladolid to hand his side all the needed points.

Dauda was replaced by Japanese international Shinji Okazaki on the 82nd minute.

He has scored six goals in 24 games for FC Cartagena in the Spanish second-tier league this season so far.

Dauda joined FC Cartagena last summer on a season-long loan deal from Belgian top-flight league outfit RSC Anderlecht.

His current contract with RSC Anderlecht will expire in summer 2023.
