Ghanaian youngster Augustine Boakye secure work permit to join Wolfsberger AC in Austria

Ghanaian youngster Augustine Boakye will feature for Austrian Bundesliga outfit Wolfsberger AC in the 2021/22 season after securing work permit.

The 20-year-old enjoyed a descent campaign in the just ended domestic top-flight league winning 7 man of the match awards.

He contributed 22 goals in the league for his outfit WAFA and was nominated for the Player of the season losing to Hearts of Oak’s Salifu Ibrahim.

Augustine Boakye who is rated as one of the best players in the Ghana Premier League move to Wolfsberger AC had to delay due to work permit.

However, after working more than two months on his papers, he has joined the Austrian club and is expected to feature next season for the club.

The Ghanaian prodigy signed a four-year deal keeping him at the club until 2025.

Wolfsberger coach Robin Dutt confirming the acquisition of the player said, “We are delighted that Augustine’s transfer has finally worked out. This gives us another option for our offensive. Now, of course, we want to integrate him into the club and the team as soon as possible.”
