Ghana's Edwin Gyasi leaves Israeli club Beitar Jerusalem

Edwin Gyasi, a Ghanaian winger, has left Israeli top-flight team Beitar Jerusalem due to club financial troubles.

Since November 2021, Jerusalem’s President Moshe Hogeg has been detained on charges of crypto fraud and sex crime.

The arrest of the president has resulted in the release of Edwin Gyasi and other international players in the Jerusalem team.

The 30-year-old former Black Stars star has since left the club and is looking for a new team in this transfer window.

Hapoel Jerusalem, Hapoel Hadera, and a few other Israeli second-tier clubs have also approached Gyasi about a prospective transfer.

Gyasi formerly played for Aalesund, Telstar, De Graafschap, FC Twente and Heracles Almelo.
