Ghana’s failure to qualify for the World Cup is not a huge problem – Yakubu Aiyegbeni
Yakubu Aiyegbeni, a former Super Eagles forward, has spoken in on Nigeria’s World Cup qualifying match against Ghana.
Speaking on Joy Sports, the retired forward stated that while it is necessary for Nigeria to qualify for the World Cup, the same cannot be said for Ghana.
Aiyegbeni, the Super Eagles’ third-highest scorer in history, stated that both teams have a strong rivalry and that their games are always fiercely contested.
“Playing with Ghana is always going to be a big big rivalry because we believe we are the best” he said.
“Just imagine Nigeria not qualifying for the World Cup. Ghana not qualifying for the world cup is not a big deal,”
The Super Eagles of Nigeria will take on the Black Stars of Ghana on March 25th at the Kumasi Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
