Ghana’s Frank Acheampong on target for Shenzhen FC in 3-1 defeat to Shanghai Port
Ghana forward, Frank Acheampong was on target on Monday morning when the team lost 3-1 to Shanghai Port in the Chinese Super League.
The two teams today locked horns at the Shenzhen Universiade Sports Centre to battle for points on matchday 15 of the 2021 Chinese top-flight league.
Although Frank Acheampong and his teammates did well in the early parts of the game, they could only hold on for so long.
A minute after the half-hour mark, Li Shenyuan scored with a fine strike to shoot Shanghai Port into a deserved lead.
Ten minutes later, Brazilian attacker Oscar also scored to increase the lead for the visitors before the halftime break.
In the second half, Frank Acheampong rallied his teammates in the quest to turn things around. He managed to score in the 50th minute to half the deficit for his team but it was not enough.
With Aaron Mooy equalizing in the 66th minute, Shanghai Port cruised to a 3-1 win against Shenzhen FC.
Courtesy of today’s goals, Frank Acheampong now has four goals in the Chinese Super League this season.
