Gideon Mensah in quarantine after reporting from International duty

Ghana international Gideon Mensah is currently in quarantine following an appearance with the Black Stars during the 2022 World Cup Qualifiers.

The left-back who was an unused substitute in Ghana’s opening World Cup Qualifier against Ethiopia played full throttle in the Black Stars defeat against South Africa and hence is in quarantine due to Covid-19 health protocols.

The 23-year-old has been in fine form for Bordeaux since sealing a loan move from the Austrian side of Red Bull Salzburg.

The defender’s current predicament means he will miss Bordeaux’s two Ligue 1 matches against Lens and Saint-Etienne.
