Goalkeeper Felix Annan urges Kotoko to remain focus ahead of Hearts clash
Former Kotoko goalkeeper Felix Annan has urged the current Kotoko players to forget about last season’s defeat and focus entirely on the big game on Sunday.
Hearts of Oak will welcome Kotoko on Sunday in an exciting Ghana Premier League match week 7 encounter at the Accra Sports Stadium.
In an interview with Akoma FM in Kumasi, the goalkeeper indicated that the signing of veteran midfielder Sulley Muntari will undoubtedly motivate the champions but he also warned the Kotoko players not to get distracted and to stay focused on the game.
“I have followed the two clubs, its very clear that Kotoko has been very consistent this season. But games involving Kotoko and Hearts are difficult to predict. Muntari’s inclusion for Hearts is a big motivation for Hearts because he has enormous experience,” he said
“The Kotoko Players should forget about the defeat of last season and focus on their form this season to defeat Hearts,” he ended.
Asante Kotoko is top of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League table while Accra Hearts of Oak occupy the 8th position.
