Government approves Black Stars technical team for Nigeria World Cup qualifier in March

Management Committee member of the Black Stars, Alhaji Karim Grunsah has confirmed government has approved the newly constituted Black Stars technical team for the World Cup playoffs next month.

The Ghana FA following the sacking of Serbian trainer Milovan Rajevac after Black Stars poor showing at the 2021 AFCON announced an interim technical team for the World Cup play-offs against Nigeria.

Otto Addo will lead as the head coach with George Boateng and Didi Dramani serving as his assistants for the crucial game.

Former Brighton boss Chris Hughton was also appointed technical advisor to the team which was subject to approval from the government.

However, after weeks of the announcement, Alhaji Grusah has confirmed government has approved the technical for the World Cup qualifier.

“According to the President Of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku the Ministry has approved the appointment” Grusah told Happy FM.

Ghana will host Nigeria at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium on March 25 in the first leg before traveling to Abuja for the second leg on March 29.
