GPL 21/22 Match Report:Kelvin Andoh brace deepens Ashgold woes
Karela United inflicted more wounds on Ashgold as they defeated the Miners in the Matchday 19 encounter of the Ghana Premier League.
Both sides were keen to bounce back to winning ways having lost last weekend.
The visitors started the game on the best possible note as they took the lead in through Eric Esso.
Karela roared backed from the early set back as Matthew Kelvin Andoh brilliantly finished off a team move.
Neither side was able to gain the advantage before the recess as the first half ended 1-1.
Karela started off the second half with high octane tempo as they consistently laid seige on the Miners’ goal.
The home side’s effort were finally rewarded as Matthew Kelvin Andoh headed home a Parrick Mensah cross to give Karela the lead.
Karela went in search for the third but were unable to find the back of the net.
Ashgold’s attempt to find an equaliser also proved futile as the game ended 2-1 in favour of Karela.
