GPL Highlights: Bechem United 1-0 Great Olympics
Bechem United on Monday afternoon secured maximum points from the game against Great Olympics thanks to a solitary strike from highly-rated forward Augustine Okrah.
Nicknamed the Hunters, the Ghana Premier League outfit today played host to the team from Accra to contest for points in a match serving as a matchday 23 encounter of the ongoing league campaign.
On the back of a bright start to the game, Bechem United poster boy Augustine Okrah opened the scoring for the home team with a well-taken strike in the 11th minute.
With momentum on the side of the hosts, the team controlled the pace of the game to ensure the lead was intact at halftime.
Although Great Olympics will improve on their performance and cause a lot of trouble for the home team in the second half, Bechem United held on to cruise to a narrow 1-0 win at the end of the 90 minutes.
Courtesy of today’s victory, Bechem United remains second on the Ghana Premier League table with 41 points.
