GPL Week 12 Match preview: Elmina Sharks vs Aduana Stars

Aduana stars will be looking to rediscover their winning touch in week 12 of the 2021 Ghana Premier League when they play Elmina Sharks in the Central Region this afternoon.

The Dormaa boys were in great shape a couple of weeks ago, as they dominated the league with wins and sat on top of the pile.

But there has been a change of fortunes, with the club losing consecutive games for the first time this season.

With Kotoko moving ahead of them in first place, Aduana will be aware of the need to secure a win today.

That could be simply achieved at the Nduom Stadium, with their opponent struggling in the league.

Elmina Sharks are currently on the last spot on the Ghana Premier League and look to be heading for relegation after narrowly escaping it last season.

FORM GUIDE

As pointed out earlier, Aduana Stars are currently on their worse run of form this season.

After losing away at the hands of Medeama in Tarkwa, Aduana suffered their second home defeat against Kotoko last week.

Their first defeat at home this season was against another opponent from Kumasi, King Faisal, who are currently in second place.

The consecutive defeats have undone the magnificent work and effort the team put in as they went on a 6 game winning streak.

Elmina Sharks are on a worse form in the last 5 games than any other team in the division.

In the period in perspective, Sharks have lost all their games, taking their tally of defeats to a staggering 8 after just 11 games in the season.

Out of those eight defeats, three of them have come on home soil.
