Hearts of Oak aiming to secure first win over Ashgold after winless start
Hearts of Oak have set their sight on recording their first win of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season against AshantiGold SC.
The reigning Ghana Premier League champions have endured a difficult start of the season and are yet to win a game.
After three games played, the Phobians sit 11th on the league log with just three points.
Ahead of their matchday four fixture against the Miners against Obuasi Len Clay Stadium, National Chapter Committee chairman of the club, Elvis Herman Hesse, believes the club will pick its first three points of the season against Ashgold.
“We are Hearts of Oak and we are not giving up,” he said in an interview with Asempa FM.
“We confident of picking our first three points of the season against Ashgold this weekend,” he added.
Hearts of Oak were held to a goalless game by Legon Cities in their opener.
The Phobians were again held to a 1-1 draw game against WAFA at the Red Bull Arena before recording the same scoreline against Aduana Stars over the weekend.
