Hudson-Odoi again refuses to turn for England U21

Winger Callum Hudson-Odoi, is still undecided about his international future, despite attention from England Under-21 head coach Lee Carsley.

During the international break in September 2021, the 20-year-old striker allegedly turned down an invitation to the England under-21 camp, preferring to concentrate on his Chelsea FC career.

Hudson-Odoi, who was born in England to Ghanaian parents, spent his pre-season vacation in Ghana, where he met with Ghana President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Ghana Sports Minister Mustapha Ussif, and Ghana Football Association president Kurt Okraku.

Hudson-Odoi was a member of the England squad that won the FIFA U-17 World Cup in 2017, and he has three senior England caps.

However, if he does not earn a fourth cap for England, the highly-rated winger is still entitled to transfer national associations.
