I believe in Hearts of Oak more than the Black Stars – Kofi Akpaloo
Ghanaian Politician Percival Kofi Akpaloo believes Hearts of Oak is a better side as compared to the Black Stars.
The founder and leader of the Liberal Party of Ghana recently promised to reward every Hearts of Oak player Ghc 1,000 should they win against Wydad Athletic of Morocco in the CAF Champions League second preliminary round.
Coach Samuel Boadu will be entitled to Ghc 2000 should he mastermind.
The Phobians host the Moroccan club in the first leg at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, October 17, 2021.
The Ghana Premier League champions must win convincingly at home against the 2016 Champions League winners to make the reverse leg a mere formality.
In an interview with Koforidua-based Aben FM, Kofi Akpaloo expressed optimism about Hearts of Oak doing well in the Africa campaign this year, saying he believes in the Phobians than the senior national soccer team, the Black Stars.
“I believe in the capabilities of the players and the coach of Hearts of Oak, truth to be told; I trust Hearts than the Black Stars looking at the quality of play. Hearts is a formidable side as compared to that of Black Stars so I believe they can do well in the Champions League campaign” he said.
