“I feel very fit and want to achieve great things” – Fit-again Raphael Dwamena
Ghanaian attacker Raphael Dwamena has expressed his delight after signing for Austria Bundesliga 2 side Blau-Weiß Linz.
The Ghana striker following a turbulent battle with heart problems in the last two years is ready to return to the pitch after been declare fit.
Dwamena signed a deal that will see him at the club until 2023.
The 25-year-old expressed his delight after signing the deal and thanked the club for the confidence reposed in his services despite his medical history.
“I am so happy that Blau-Weiß Linz gives me the chance and I will be eternally grateful. I would like to repay that with performance on the pitch. My athletic path is far from over. I feel very fit and want to achieve great things with blue and white in the next 2-3 years,” Dwamena said.
Blau-Weiß Linz are Dwamena’s fourth club in Austria – having featured for Red Bull Salzburg, Liefering FC and Austria Lustenau.
He also played for Real Zaragoza and Danish side Vejle BK.
