I was born and raised in Germany but I want to play for Ghana – Charles-Jesaja Hermann
Young attacker Charles-Jesaja Hermann, the son of former Black Stars head coach CK Akonnor has expressed his desire to play for the Ghana senior national team.
Currently playing his football in Belgium with KV Kortrijk on loan from VfL Wolfsburg, the 21-year-old is tagged as a prospect and tipped to become a star in the next few years.
While he continues to work to merit a place in the senior team of Wolfsburg next season, Charles-Jesaja Hermann has one eye set on wearing the Black Stars jersey.
Speaking to Oman Sports in an interview, the son of CK Akonnor says although he was born and raised in Germany, his dream is to play for the Ghana national team.
“There is no doubt that I will like to play for Ghana. I will go direct. When they call me I will go direct. You know I was born and raised in Germany but I’m a black man.
“I’m from Ghana so I have this Ghana heart still in me. I just feel attached although I wasn’t there for a long time,” Charles-Jesaja Hermann shared.
Already, the youngster has represented the German youth national teams including U-15, U-16, U-17, U-18, and U-19.
