” If it was fixed I knew nothing about it” – Great Olympics coach Annor Walker on Eleven Wonders defeat
Great Olympics coach Annor Walker says he knew nothing about the match fixing allegations following their 1-0 defeat at home to Techiman Eleven Wonders on Sunday.
The Wonder club who were looking to secure their top four place were stunned by Eleven Wonders at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Abass Ganiu scored the decisive goal with five minutes left on the clock to give the visitors a huge win on the day.
The defeat sparked a wave of criticism among their fans amid claims of match fixing in a bid to help Wonders to escape relegation.
The suspicion cast doubt about the integrity of the game in the West African nation with two matches to wind down the season.
But Great Olympics coach Annor Walker has revealed he is not aware if the match was fixed.
“If it was a fixed game I knew nothing about it.” he said
Great Olympics will be looking to return to winning ways when they travel to Berekum to face Berekum Chelsea in the penultimate game of the season.
