Isaac Mensah wins MVP in Hearts’ win over Liberty Professionals
Accra Hearts of Oak striker Isaac Mensah was named Matn of the Match in Hearts of Oak hard fought 1 nil away at Liberty Professionals.
Mensah climbed off the bench when the score was goalless after 70 minutes. He was introduced as a second half substitute for Kwadwo Obeng Junior.
4 minutes after entering the game, Mensah registered his name on the score sheet to give his side the lead.
The young striker pounced on a deflected shot by Hearts defender Raddy Ovouka and cleverly lobbed over the on-rushing Liberty Professionals goalie.
Hearts held on strongly to finish the game as 1 nil victors. The Phobians now lie 6th on the league log on 23 points.
This is the second consecutive game that Mensah has climbed off the bench to net the match winner for Hearts of Oak.
For his efforts against Liberty he was awarded the MVP Award.
