Ishmail Ganiyu starts for Ghana against South Africa
Asante Kotoko defender Ismail Abdul Ganiyu has been handed debut in Ghana penultimate African Cup of Nations qualifiers against South Africa.
The defender has been name in the starting line up along side Nicholas Opoku at the heart of the defence.
The game will be Ganiyu’s first game for the senior national team following an impressive performances for Asante Kotoko.
His teammate Razak Abalora has also been handed his first competitive start for the senior national team due to the absent of choice goalkeeper Richard Ofori.
Ghana needs a win to qualify for the Nations Cup next year.
