Asante Kotoko defensive stalwart Abdul Ismail Ganiyu has received yet another invitation to be part of the Senior National football team ahead of next month’s international window.

Ganiyu headlines a list of 8 local players handed invited by Black Stars Head Charles Akonnor, following his announcement of a 30-man squad on Wednesday.

Ganiyu only made his Black Stars debut during the last international window when he played in games versus south Africa and Sao Tome. The player has continued to impress for Asante Kotoko since and has been duly rewarded with another call-up.

Haniyu is joined by Kotoko colleague Razak Abalora and on-loan Kotoko goalie Ibrahim Danlad who’s currently with King Faisal.

Other local players earning recalls to the suqad are Galdson Awako (Great Olympics) and Philemon Baffour (Dream FC) while the likes of Rashid Nortey (Medeama SC), Joseph Adjei (Legon Cities) and Abdul Fatawu Issahaku (Steadfast FC) also are included.

Abdul Fatawu Issahaku is the only Division One League player in the list.

Ghana will play Morocco and Ivory Coast in friendlies next month as the originally arranged FIFA World Cup qualifying games has been postponed by CAF due to Covid-19 concerns.
