“It will take at least two to three weeks before Kudus can return to action” – Ajax manager
Ghana international Mohammed Kudus is facing two to three weeks out of action, according to Ajax manager Eric Ten Hag.
The Black Stars midfielder has been out of action since sustaining an ankle injury in Ajax pre-season game against Anderlecht.
He missed Ajax game against PSV in the Johan Cruyff Shield Cup and also the start of the Dutch Eredivisie.
Giving an update on Kudus, the manager said, “Sunday is too early. Of course he has been out of the process since Anderlecht (0-2 win, ed.). He is doing well with his injury, but he will also need to train his condition. He still lacks competition condition. That will take at least two to three weeks before he can play another match.’
This means Kudus will miss Ghana’s World Cup qualifiers against Ethiopia and South Africa early next month.
