Joel Fameyeh scores and provides assist as Orenburg beat Moscow

Joel Fameyeh of Ghana’s Black Stars reacted to his Black Stars call-up with a goal and an assist in FC Orenburg’s 2-1 home win against Veles Moscow.

The 24-year-old, was outstanding as Orenburg held on to a 2-1 first-half advantage to win and move up to third in the league rankings.

Fameyeh broke the deadlock of the contest with a stunning strike twelve minutes after kickoff, giving the Blue and Whites a 1-0 lead inside the first quarter of the game.

The former Dinamo Brest also set up Renato Gojkovic to score his side’s second goal inside half an hour on the 28th minute mark.

Daniil Lopatin cut the visitors’ lead to one in the 43rd minute, but the game failed to produce another goal despite the entertainment in the second half.

Veles Moscow was defeated 2-1 at home by FC Orenburg.

In six matches this season, the Ghanaian international has four goals and two assists in the Russian First National League.
