John Boye joins Saudi Arabian side Al Fayha

On the final day of the summer transfer window, defender John Boye has joined Saudi Arabian Premier League club Al Fayha.

Boye agreed to a one-year deal with a one-year extension option after passing his medical check.

After three successful seasons with French Ligue 1 club FC Metz, the 34-year-old became a free agent on 30 June 2021.

Boye was captain of Metz during his final season in 2020/2021 Ligue 1, and he went on to make 35 appearances.

Before joining Metz in July 2018, the centre defender had previously played for Stade Rennes in France, Kayseri Erciyesspor in Turkey, and Sivasspor also in Turkey.
