Jordan Anagblah Memorial tournament kicks off on September 4

The annual Jordan Anagblah Memorial Cup is set to commence in the first week of September for the 2021 edition, organizers have announced.

The six weeks tournament will kick off on September 4 and end on the 11th of October.

The 2021 edition, which comes off as the second edition of the tournament will see 64 clubs participating in the tournament.

It is the biggest football tournament in the Greater Accra Region which sees all Division Two clubs as well as some Division Three clubs participating.

The memorial tournament will officially be launched at the Media Center of the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday August 24, 2021.

The tournament which promises a lot of fireworks has been established by Eugene Jacquaye, a member of the Juvenile Committee of the Ghana Football Association in memory of the late Vice President of the association Jordan Anagblah.

The late Jordan Anagblah was the Chairman of the Greater Accra Regional Football Association before his demise.

For his enormous and indelible contribution to the development of football in the Greater Accra Region as well as the country as a whole, organisers of the tournament believe he must be remembered annually.

Jordan was also the Chairman of the Management Committee of the Black Satellites when Ghana won the U20 World Cup in 2009.
