Jordan Ayew dreams of Champions League football
Despite the poor show of Crystal Palace in the English Premier League this season, Ghana striker Jordan Ayew remains optimistic of playing in the European Champions League one day.
The Ghanaian discloses that they had set sights on achieving a European spot this season, but with five games remaining, it is impossible as they are far away.
Palace are 13th and Jordan hopes they finish in the top half of the table. But for next season, they will fight to qualify for Europe.
“[For Palace] I just hope that we manage to be in the top 10 and one day be in Europe. That’s my wish for Palace and for me personally.
“As players, we all want to have great seasons and play in the best competitions, so that is my hope and my wish for Palace.”
Ayew was Palace’s top scorer, best player and also scooped all awards at the club last season but has not been at his best this season for the club.
