Kamaldeen Sulemana smashes Gyan’s record to become Rennais most expensive Ghanaian player
Ghanaian winger, Kamaldeen Sulemana, has completed his transfer to French top-flight side Stade Rennais, becoming the most expensive Ghanaian signed by the club.
His move amounted to about €15 million and he has penned a five-year deal with his new side, ending his relationship with Danish outfit Nordsjaelland.
Sulemana has now smashed the record of legendary Ghanaian forward Asamoah Gyan, who signed for the club in 2008 for €8 million.
The 19-year-old has also become the sixth most expensive transfer in Rennes history with bags of potential ahead of him.
Ajax were favorites to sign the prospect and even went as far as agreeing terms but Rennes successfully hijacked the move.
Sulemana has made two appearances for the Black Stars so far.
