Kevin Danso urged to stay in Augsburg
Most recently, defender Kevin Danso was associated with promoted SpVgg Greuther Furth in the service of FC Augsburg.
A transfer is not up for debate for Augsburg coach Markus Weinzierl. “He’s a home grown man who fits in well with our team,” said Weinzierl on Tuesday at the training camp in Walchsee.
Saying goodbye to Danso is “definitely not an issue for me, we can’t give up a central defender now,” emphasized Weinzierl, who is currently missing two players for the defense center: Felix Uduokhai (Olympic participation) and Reece Oxford (meniscus operation).
The 22-year-old Danso only returned to Augsburg in the summer after his loan to Fortuna Düsseldorf in the 2nd Bundesliga.
