Kotoko coach Prosper Narteh Ogum bares teeth at referee after losing to Sharks
Asante Kotoko head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum lost his cool on Monday afternoon after his side lost 2-1 to Elmina Sharks in the Ghana Premier League.
In what was a matchday 16 encounter of the ongoing season, the Reds took the lead but the hosts came from behind to record a massive 2-1 win at the end of the 90 minutes.
Speaking in his post-match interview, Coach Ogum expressed anger while accusing the match officials of the encounter of bad officiating.
Accorodng to him, there were bad calls against his team, resulting in their defeat at full-time.
“I didn’t see Danlad [Ibrahim] move off his line but the assistant said he moved off his line so they went to register their complaint. “And as players when such things happen, they come to register their complaint, it’s you the referee who should be able to manage the game.
“But typical of Ghanaian referees, they are interested in threatening players, intimidating players, and telling them that they will send them out of the field of play,” Coach Ogum said after the game.
The highly-rated gaffer despite losing three points applauded his players for putting up a good fight.
