Kotoko in talks to extend contract of talisman Fabio Gama
Ghanaian giants, Asante Kotoko are in talks to extend the contract of Fabio Gama Dos Santos, footballghana.com can report.
The Ghana Premier League outfit last season signed the Brazilian midfielder on a free transfer as he signed a two-year contract with the side.
With the first year of his contract coming to an end, Fabio Gama has just one year left to play for the Porcupine Warriors club.
Courtesy of the player’s stellar display in the 2020/2021 football season, officials of Asante Kotoko are now working to retain his services.
According to Communications Director Obeng Nyarko, talks are far advanced for a contract extension deal to be agreed with Fabio Gama.
The Brazilian featured for Asante Kotoko on the opening day of the 2021/2022 Ghana Premier League in the 3-1 win against Dreams FC.
He has become a key player for Asante Kotoko and is expected to play a major role as the team aims to win the Ghana Premier League title at the end of the season.
