Kotoko legend Wilberforce Mfum hails CEO Nana Yaw Amponsah
Asante Kotoko legend Wilberforce Mfum has heaped praise on current Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Nana Yaw Amponsah for his outstanding performance since taking over the club.
The 2019 Ghana Football Association Presidential candidate was appointed the CEO of the Porcupine Warriors on August 2020 by the Board of Directors.
Amponsah was able to secure sponsorship deals in era of Covid-19 that wrecked the world at large.
On the field achievement, the Porcupine Warriors finished 2nd in the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League campaign despite playing all 34 matches away from home and reached the quarter-finals of the MTN FA Cup.
In an interview with Koforidua-based Bryt FM, the former Kotoko star hailed the CEO for his outstanding performance.
“I will commend Nana Yaw because he is doing well for my club. I have monitored him since he took over and I believe he has outstanding. At the moment, the club has many sponsors and that tells you he is working. The fans must be patient with him” he said.
The two-time African champions currently sit top of the table in the 2021/22 season with 33 points after 16 games.
