Kwame Bonsu sent off in Ceramica's stalemate against Wadi Degla

Ceramica, with ten players, succeeded in imposing a 0-0 draw against Wadi Degla, this evening, in the 33rd (penultimate) round, to bring Al-Ghazal team officially relegated from the Egyptian Premier League.

The match started with Ceramica’s possession and great caution from Wadi Degla, and soon Kwame Bonsu received two warnings, the second of which caused him to be sent off in the 21st minute, leaving his team incomplete for the remaining time of the match.

Wadi Degla dared a lot while playing in front of only 10 players. He abandoned his guard and appeared repeatedly around and in the Ceramica penalty area. He had more than one chance to score, but the first half of the match ended in a goalless draw.

In the second half, Wadi Degla sought to win, and the attacks were numerous, and Amer Amer appeared to save his goal on more than one occasion, and Ceramica retreated completely, with the exception of Shadi Hussein, in his penalty area.

The number of Ceramica defenders prevented any ball from reaching goalkeeper Amer Amer, despite that, Shadi Hussein almost scored against the Tigris, in the 64th minute, had it not been for the brilliance of Mohamed Abdel Monsef. And in the 75th minute, Amer Amer starred and prevented Ahmed Sharif’s shot (the substitute) when he received a ground pass from Ahmed Atef and shot it to be saved by a Ceramica goalkeeper with his foot.

Amer Amer shined again and saved neat headers from Ahmed Sherif (the substitute), who posed a serious threat to Ceramica’s goal. The referee, Ahmed Al-Ghandour, counted 5 minutes of added time to force Ceramica to equalize and officially drop Wadi Degla. Wadi Degla raised its score to 29 points from 33 matches, winning 5, drawing 14 and losing 14. Its players scored 29 goals and conceded 38 goals.

Ceramica Cleopatra raised its score to 40 points from 33 matches, winning 8, drawing 15 and losing 10. Its players scored 39 goals and conceded 43 goals.
