LATEST: Okwahu v Kwaebibirem United match declared null and void

The Division two league game between Okwahu United and Kwaebibirem United has officially been declared null and void.

The two teams faced off in a Middle League game at the Theatre of Dreams, Dawu as the game ended abruptly after the fans stormed the pitch.

Referee Emmanuel Kofi Agbodavi awarded Kwaebibirem United a penalty which resulted to the chaos.

The new ruling was conducted by the Appeals Committee after studying the facts of the case.

The Appeals Committee has ruled that the two teams play a new game at a neutral venue to decide the winner.

DECISION OF THE APPEALS COMMITTEE

The Committee having considered all the facts of the appeals and the relevant provisions
decides as follows:

1. That the Division Two middle league match between Kwaebibirem United FC and
Okwawu shall be declared null and void.
2. That the match shall be replayed on a date and at a venue to be determined by the
ERFA with adequate security presence
3. That though the Appeals Committee has ruled that the match should be replayed,
anyone who misconducted themselves at the said match shall be charged by the
ERFA Prosecutor
