Majeed Waris scores in Strasbourg comeback win

Ghanaian attacker Majeed Waris on target for Strasbourg in their 3-1 win over Montpellier on Sunday.

The attack climbed off the bench to score for the Meinau Stadium outfit in their 3-1 comeback win over Montpellier SC in their French Ligue 1 game.

Montpellier SC took an early lead through Florent Mollet on the 11th minute after making a good use of Mihailo Ristic’s pass.

On the 66th minute, Montpellier SC were reduced to ten men after Elye Wahi picked up a straight red card for a reckless challenge on Lucas Perrin.

Waris was introduced on the 69th minute as replacement for Lucas Perrin who failed to continue the game after that tackle on him.

The Ghana international needed just eight minutes to announce his presence in the game with a brilliant strike to level the score.

His teammates Adrien Thomasson and Kevin Gameiro scored on the 84th and 86th minute to secure all the three maximum points at home.

Waris has scored only one goal in twelve games for RC Strasbourg this season so far.
