Mary Amponsah, Amfobea, others win big as Women's Premier League Super Cup end in style

The maiden Women’s Premier Super Cup came to end on Sunday, December 5, 2021, at the Madina AstroTurf with Hasaacas Ladies winning the coveted trophy after beating LadyStrikers 3-2 in a nerve wracking final.

Ampem Darkoa Ladies also won the third-place award following a 3-1 win against Prisons Ladies.

In all, it was a highly competitive and entertaining tournament for the Ladies ahead of the 2021/22 campaign.

Here are the winners of the various individual awards:

Goalkeeper of the Tournament: Diana Maawereamou – Hasaacas Ladies.

Ampem Darkoa’s young midfielder Latifa Abesik – Discovery of the Tournament.

Mary Amponsah – Ampem Darkoa Ladies and Gladys Amfobea of LadyStrikers emerged joint Top Scorers with 5 goals each.

Overall Best Player: Gladys Amfobea of LadyStrikers for her scintillating display coupled with scoring 5 goals and assisting three times.
